Job Title: General Surgery Opportunity in Sarasota, Florida
HCA West Florida is seeking a robotically trained general surgeon for a well-established private practice in Venice, Florida. The doctor-led surgical practice has been delivering world-class surgical services to Sarasota County residents since 2005 and currently provides services at both HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital as well as HCA Florida Englewood Hospital.
Qualified Candidates:
- Must be board certified in general surgery
- Must be able to obtain an active Florida medical license prior to start
- Have at least 3 years of general surgery experience
- Expertise in both laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery (or willingness to learn)
- Comfortable with approximately 40 operations a month
- Preferred candidate will also possess a niche skillset such as Vascular, Bariatric, Breast, however be comfortable doing a majority of general surgery cases
- Comfortable with complex cases ( colorectal, upper GI) as the practice is not a bread and butter practice
- Interest in Wound Care a plus
