I am working with one of my best clients for a General Surgery opportunity in Illinois. The award-winning hospital is in a thriving, family friendly community, just a short drive from St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Chicago.

Practice Overview:

– Employed by locally owned not for profit hospital – 130 bed facility providing care to 8 counties
– Physician retention rates average 12 years across all specialties
– Join 3 General Surgeons
– 1:4 call – Not a trauma center
– Can support secondary interests – equipped for Bariatrics – Can support Breast and Vascular as well
– Would need to establish secondary focus, majority starting would be general
– State of the art facilities

Compensation:

– 500K base salary plus RVUS
– 75K Sign on (forgiven after 1 year)
– 60K retention bonus (20K per year over 3 years)
– Quality Bonus
– Hospital funded pension plan:
o Hospital contributes $25,000 per year (5 percent) for years 1-5
o Hospital contributes $50,000 per year (10 percent), ongoing, after year 6
– Additional 403b with 4 percent match
– Relocation assistance reimbursed up to 10k
– PTO: 33 days annually
– 1 Week CME with 3,300 allowance
