Ortho Hip & Knee Surgeon opening in Appleton, WI Located 33 miles to Green Bay; 100 miles to Milwaukee Full time, permanent a highly successful non-profit health system, seeks a Board Certified in Orthopedics fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction/Arthroplasty (total hip and knee) Physician for our practice in northeast Wisconsin. 1.0 FTE Practice Soley to Total hip and knee (no general), large PCP referral network; OSP brand new state of the art clinic, surgery center and Hospital. 2 other partners in Total joints; full service line of professionals. Referral source from our critical access ortho surgeons who only do non-complicated primary joints. Full dedicated joint APC (4) that support the joint practice. 50% in clinic and 50 % in surgery (once established) 1:5 call at level 3 36 Contract hrs, 4.5 days/week Orthopedic Fellowship trained in Adult reconstructive surgery required 32-45 pts/ day Our ideal candidate will: Be excited/expected to evaluate and treat painful total joints. Be competent/excited to handle complex revision arthroplasty, including periprosthetic fractures and infections. Be expected to develop the Oshkosh market, an area of the Fox Valley that group does not currently dominate. Ongoing plans to collaborate with Froedtert to establish a more robust footprint in Oshkosh. Be expected/comfortable taking Level II Trauma at our Neenah campus which is the regions trauma center, and draws from our 6 other medical facilities, and all of northern and central Wisconsin via inter-facility helicopter transport. Work collaboratively with two other fellowship trained arthroplasty surgeons, as well as at least two general orthopaedic surgeons performing hip and knee replacements. Have ties to the area or reason to want to settle in north/central Wisconsin.
