A prestigious and well-respected health system in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a BC acute care surgeon with a certificate in surgical critical care from the American Board of Surgery (ABS) to work in a multidisciplinary ICU. The surgical coverage encompasses a broad range of emergency general surgery, but no trauma. The candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to resident education and academic advancement in critical care and surgery. This is a 30-bed unit that cares for a broad spectrum of medical and surgical critical illnesses in support of a quaternary hospital. Skill sets related to the complex ICU care of solid organ transplant patients, BMT and stem cell transplant patients, cardiovascular surgery and advanced heart failure patients, neurosciences critical care, and medical-surgical critical care are expected. This academic position involves active participation in education, research, and the clinical practice. Full time and permanent opening.

Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Arizona license and a Critical Care Fellowship is required. Candidates must be ABA, ABEM, ABIM, or ABS critical care medicine board-certified or board-eligible. Employer offers funded CME, benefits, and a robust relocation package.
