Colorectal Surgeon – Hampton Roads, VA
- Located in Portsmouth, VA - Norfolk 5m
- Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
A highly sought-after opportunity is available for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Colorectal Surgeon to assume an established, turnkey colorectal surgery practice in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region. This position offers immediate patient volume, a strong referral network, advanced robotic technology, and the opportunity to become the sole colorectal surgeon within a growing surgical program.
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colorectal Surgery
* Completion of a U.S.-based General Surgery Residency
* Completion of a Colorectal Surgery Fellowship
* Active Virginia Medical License and DEA, or ability to obtain prior to start
* BLS and ACLS Certification
* Minimally invasive and robotic surgery experience preferred
* Authorized to work in the United States
* New graduates encouraged to apply
* 1–2 years of colorectal surgery experience preferred

Clinical Responsibilities
* Comprehensive colorectal surgery practice
* Outpatient clinic care
* Inpatient consultations and management
* Colonoscopy procedures
* Colon and rectal resections
* Hemorrhoid surgery
* Fistula surgery
* Proctectomy procedures
* Minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures
Schedule & Call
* Full-time position
* Practice Hours:
* Monday–Friday
* 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
* Approximately:
* 50% Outpatient
* 50% Inpatient, Surgery, and Consultative Care
* Average Clinic Volume:
* 15–20 Patients Per Clinic Day
* Shared call coverage:
* 1 weekday call per week
* 1 weekend call per month
* Approximately 7 calls per month
* Additional compensation available for call beyond required coverage
* Coverage responsibilities across two hospitals
