Job description
We are seeking a General Surgeon with strong endoscopic and laparoscopic skills to assist with ongoing locum coverage beginning ASAP once credentialed.
Position Overview
• Specialty: General Surgery – Endoscopy & Colonoscopy
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage/Schedule: TBD
• Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities
• Provide clinic and OR coverage
• Perform general surgery cases (acuity varies)
• Perform endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures
• Support includes MA, LVN, front office, and standard OR team
Case Volumes
• Clinic: up to 15 patients/day
• Endo: 6–8 cases/day
• General surgery: varies based on acuity
Requirements
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active Texas Medical License
• Texas DEA (or easily transferable)
• Proven laparoscopic and endoscopic/colonoscopy experience
Credentialing
Approx. 90 days – onboarding ASAP.
