Mercy Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified Colorectal Surgeon to join our respected General Surgery team in Toledo, Ohio. This opportunity offers the chance to help build and shape a new colorectal subspecialty service line in a growing market. Job Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with oncology, gastroenterology, and general surgery colleagues to deliver coordinated multidisciplinary care.
Participate in the development and growth of the new colorectal surgery program, contributing to service line strategy and best practices.
Engage in resident education and mentorship through the General Surgery Residency Program.
Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and satisfaction through evidence-based surgical care.
Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery preferred.
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Ohio.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and program development.
Strong interest in teaching and mentoring within an academic or residency training environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Working Hours
Dedicated time for consultations, surgical planning, procedures, and post-operative follow-up.
Shared call responsibilities with support from the general surgery team.
