DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Job Title: Surgeon Colon & Rectal Surgery
- Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Location: Munster, IN
- Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- Schedule: Monday Friday
- On-Call Expectations: 1:4 rotation, includes General Surgery cases
- Start Date: Approximately 90120 days post-offer, pending credentialing PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
- Patient Demographics: Adult patients requiring colorectal and general surgical care
- Admissions & Rounding: Included
- Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes
- Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas: Colon & Rectal Surgery, General Surgery FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
- EMR System: Epic HIMSS Stage VII
- Specialty Backup: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Support Staff: System physicians with a collegial culture and mentorship support
- Leadership & Reporting Structure: Hospital-employed physician model
- Reason for Opening: Growth and expansion of service lines CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE

- DEA & Certifications: CSR, DEA required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient surgical care with a focus on colon and rectal procedures
- Participate in call rotation for general surgery
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and advanced practitioners
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
