Baylor Scott and White Health Temple is seeking an outstanding academic BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, within the Department of Surgery.
Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Additional training in minimally invasive valve surgery, TAVR and TEVAR, VAD, and heart transplantation would be valuable
- Experience in an academic setting is preferred
The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of disease based programs in partnership with the Divisions of Cardiology and Vascular Surgery.
We are actively involved in medical student and resident education. Academic appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor through Texas A&M College of Medicine will be determined by experience and qualifications.
The Division also has an active research program and is committed to supporting the right individual develop his / her research interest.
The Cardiovascular Surgeon will be a hard-working, team player with a favorable work and/or training history and will provide direct patient care. Candidates should be able to independently administer and interpret routine and special diagnostic tests in an expedient and professional manner. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient.

Doctorate Degree in Medicine
