Clinical Role

• ASAP start
• Ongoing need
• Seeking coverage for a minimum of 2 weeks per month
• Adult patient population
• Hospital-based practice
• Level I trauma setting
• Must be able to practice independently

Schedule & Coverage

• Preferred coverage: 2+ weeks per month
• Monday-Friday onsite coverage during clinic hours
• Weeknight call coverage
• Weekend call coverage
• Weekend call: 7:00 am-7:00 am
• Includes inpatient rounding
• Approximately 1 case per weekend

Practice Setting & Support

• 2 dedicated Cardiovascular Surgery ORs available during daytime hours
• Epic EMR

Required Procedures

• Adult cardiac surgery
• General thoracic surgery
• CABG
• Heart valve repair and replacement
• Tube thoracostomy
• Pericardial window
• Thoracotomy
• Lung biopsy
• Lung resection
• Pneumonectomy
• Thoracotomy decortication
• Mediastinal surgery

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
• Active Michigan medical license required
• Michigan license must be obtained through the full application process; IMLC not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
