Cardiothoracic Surgeon needed for locum tenens coverage in Kentucky for 4-7 shifts per month. 24- hour shift coverage. Credentialing timeframe is estimated at 90 days.
Must be available for one of the following blocks:

Must be available for one of the following blocks:
- 12/24-12/28 (this availability will be prioritized)
- 12/28-1/4
· Average Number of CT Surgical Cases Per Day: 1-2
· Annual ER Volume: 30,000
· Number of Operating Room
Job Responsibilities
Adult Cardiac Surgery –
CABG (Arterial Revascularization Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery; Redo cases)
Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery
General Thoracic Surgery (Tube Thoracostomy, Tracheostomy, Bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, Pericardial Window)
ICU Management of high risk cases (Impella Insertion/Removal/Bailout; Medical management of critically ill patients)
Qualifications
BLS Certified - [REQUIRED]
KY License - [Preferred] willing to accept candidates needing to obtain a license
CLEAN BACKGROUND – [REQUIRED]
Impella support (Insertion/Removal/Bailout) – [REQUIRED]
Structural Heart Support (in Hybrid OR / Cath Lab) - [REQUIRED]
Must be available for one set of dates listed in the job - please list availability at time of name clear - [REQUIRED]
