A leading cardiovascular surgery program in Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Surgeon to join a high-performing multidisciplinary team. This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon committed to quality, outstanding patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and collaboration across complex cardiovascular cases.
The preferred candidate will have experience in the full spectrum of adult cardiothoracic surgery, including TAVR procedures, coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral valve repair and replacement, and aortic aneurysm repair. Robotic surgery experience is preferred but not required.
Position Overview
This role offers the opportunity to practice within a comprehensive heart and vascular program supported by specialty centers, multidisciplinary collaboration, and access to clinical research initiatives. The environment is well suited for surgeons who value innovation, evidence-based care, and coordinated treatment across the continuum of cardiovascular services.
Candidates with academic interests, research involvement, or additional subspecialty training are welcomed. Additional fellowship training or focused experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Responsibilities
Perform adult cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures across a broad case mix.
Provide surgical care for conditions requiring TAVRs, CABGs, mitral valve repair and replacement, coronary artery bypass procedures, and aortic aneurysm repairs.
Evaluate patients preoperatively and manage postoperative care to ensure strong clinical outcomes and continuity of care
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Participate in quality improvement efforts, patient safety initiatives, and program development as appropriate.
Support a professional, collegial, and patient-focused culture.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted medical license, or eligibility for licensure by start date.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Successful completion of all required credentialing, background review, and due diligence requirements.
Experience in adult cardiothoracic surgery required.
Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required.
Additional fellowship training, subspecialty interest, or relevant advanced experience welcomed but not required.
