Locum Tenens Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Position Type:
Specialty: Physician - Surgery - Cardiovascular
Location: Kearney, NE.
Shift: 24-hour CT Surgery Coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult patients
Setting: Hospital / Level II Trauma Center
Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
- Perform cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Manage inpatient consultations and surgical cases
- Provide trauma-related thoracic surgery coverage
- Collaborate with hospital staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in on-call coverage and patient management
Required Procedures:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Valve surgeries
- Thoracic surgery procedures
- Trauma-related thoracic coverage
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Hospital surgical and clinical support teams
Days Per Month: Based on provider availability and coverage dates
On-Call/Weekends:
- 24-hour call coverage required
- Night call required
- Weekend call coverage required
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required
- Nebraska License or active IMLC – Highly Preferred
- ACLS Certification – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- DEA Registration – Required
- Clean Malpractice History – Highly Preferred
- Availability at time of name clear – Required
- NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days – Required
