Position Highlights
- 💼 Dedicated cardiac surgery role in an acute care setting
- 🏥 163-bed hospital with strong surgical support
- 🤝 Work alongside experienced APP team
- 💻 EMR: EPIC
- ⚡ Focus on urgent cases from cath lab to OR
- Streamlined workflow from ICU to discharge
Schedule & Call
- 📅 Weekend-focused coverage
- 🕛 Friday 12:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- 📞 24-hour call coverage
- 🔁 Coverage needed 3 weekends per month
- ⏱️ Avg. callback (including rounding): 2–4 hours/day
Clinical Scope
- Adult patient population (18+)
- Manage urgent cardiothoracic surgical cases
- Pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care
- Collaboration with cath lab and ICU teams
- ❗ No TAVR procedures required
Requirements
- MD/DO (Physician)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
- Active Pennsylvania License (or willing to obtain)
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
