We are seeking Cardiothoracic Surgeons to provide hospital-based coverage in York, Pennsylvania.

This role combines clinic, surgical procedures, and call coverage, offering a dynamic and rewarding clinical experience.

Schedule & Coverage

📅 Start: May 2026
⏳ Ongoing assignment

🏥 Clinic Hours

⏰ 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

🌙 Call Coverage

📞 Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
📞 24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

📆 Coverage blocks available (1–2 weeks/month preferred)

Key Responsibilities

❤️ Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures
🏥 Manage inpatient care, including rounding and urgent cases
🧠 Participate in specialized procedures such as TAVR
📋 Conduct clinic visits and post-op follow-ups
🤝 Collaborate with APPs and cardiac care teams
📝 Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Clinical Environment

🏥 Large acute care hospital (~596 beds)
⚕️ ~9 surgeries per week
👩‍⚕️ APP support available onsite
🩺 Clinic + hospital-based hybrid role
📍 Structured workflow: rounds → clinic → hospital follow-ups

Required Qualifications

🎓 MD/DO degree
🏅 Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
📜 Active Pennsylvania medical license (or willingness to obtain)
💊 DEA required
🧠 Minimum 1+ year of experience
