We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locums opportunity in York, PA. This role offers a balanced mix of clinic, surgical procedures, and call coverage in a high-volume, Level I Trauma hospital. The provider will be part of a collaborative team delivering advanced cardiac care, including TAVR procedures, with strong APP support onsite.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in TAVR and structural heart procedures
Conduct daily patient rounds before and after clinic hours
Provide outpatient clinic care and follow-ups
Manage night call and 24-hour call responsibilities
Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
DEA certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience
Strong surgical and clinical expertise
Working Hours
Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Coverage: 1–2 weeks per month
Schedule Highlights:
Clinic: May 11–15, June 8–12, June 22–26
Night Call: May 11, 13, 15 | June 8, 11 | June 22, 24, 26
24-Hour Call: May 16–17 | June 27–28
Skills
Experience with TAVR and structural heart cases
Strong patient management and clinical decision-making
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
