We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locums opportunity in York, PA. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic, surgical procedures, and call coverage within a high-acuity hospital setting. The provider will work alongside an experienced team, managing complex cardiac cases including TAVR procedures, while ensuring high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in TAVR procedures and structural heart cases
Conduct patient rounds before and after clinic hours
Provide outpatient clinic care and follow-ups
Manage night and 24-hour call responsibilities
Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
Ensure accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania medical license (required)
DEA certification required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Strong surgical and clinical decision-making skills
Working Hours
Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Coverage: 1–2 weeks per month
Specific dates available (May & June schedules provided)
Skills
Experience with TAVR and structural heart interventions
Strong patient management and perioperative care skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
