Locums – York, Pennsylvania | Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity

Join a high-volume cardiothoracic surgery program providing a mix of clinic, procedural, and call coverage. This role offers a structured schedule with dedicated OR time, clinic responsibilities, and call in a collaborative hospital setting.

Start Date: May 10, 2026 Assignment Length: Ongoing

• Balanced mix of clinic, surgery, and call
• Consistent monthly coverage (1–2 weeks per month)
• Structured daily workflow with rounding, clinic, and hospital responsibilities
• Dedicated TAVR days and structural heart exposure
• APP support available onsite

Clinic Dates:

• May 11–15
• June 8–12
• June 22–26

Night Call Dates:

• May 11, 13, 15
• June 8, 11
• June 22, 24, 26

24-Hour Call Dates:

• May 16–17
• June 27–28

Shift Times:

• Clinic: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Ongoing Need:

• 1–2 weeks per month

Setting: Hospital

Patient Population: Adult

Volume:

• ~9 surgeries per week
• Clinic: 1 day per week

Responsibilities Include:

• Performing cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Managing inpatient consults and rounding
• Conducting outpatient clinic visits
• Providing night and 24-hour call coverage
• Participating in TAVR procedures (typically Tuesdays)
• Coordinating care across clinic and hospital settings

Typical Daily Flow:

• Morning hospital rounds
• Clinic from approximately 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Return to hospital for additional rounding
• Day concludes around 3:30 PM

Procedures:

• Cardiothoracic surgeries including TAVR
• Structural heart procedures

Support Staff:

• APP onsite

Technology:

• EMR: Epic

Facility Details:

• 596-bed hospital

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery – required
• Active Pennsylvania license – required
• IMLC accepted
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
