We are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Pennsylvania. This role offers a balanced mix of clinic, procedures, and call coverage, providing exposure to both elective and urgent cardiac surgical cases in a well-supported hospital environment.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures and interventions 🔪
• Provide outpatient clinic care and patient evaluations 🏥
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including ICU patients
• Participate in night call and 24-hour call coverage 📞
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR 💻

🗓️ Schedule Highlights

• Start Date: May 10, 2026 📅
• Ongoing assignment
• Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Night Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM 🌙
• 24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM ⏰

📌 Example Coverage Blocks:

• Clinic weeks in May & June
• Night call shifts spread across assigned dates
• Weekend 24-hour call coverage included

🎓 Qualifications

• MD/DO degree
• Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• DEA certification required

• Strong experience in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
• Comfortable managing clinic + surgical + call responsibilities
• Experience with ICU-level post-operative care
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
