π₯ Position Overview
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician will provide comprehensive surgical and inpatient care, including advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures, patient management, and participation in a structured call schedule.
This position is ideal for a physician experienced in complex cardiac surgeries and thoracic procedures who is comfortable working in a collaborative hospital environment.
β° Schedule
π Monday β Friday | 8:00 AM β 5:00 PM
π
Call Rotation:
β’ Approximately 1:2 weeknight call
β’ Every other weekend call + rounding
β’ Weekend call providers will cover Wednesday/Thursday call the following week
β’ Opposite provider covers Monday/Tuesday and FridayβSunday (rotating weekly)
π Key Responsibilities
β¨ Perform a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
β¨ Provide inpatient surgical care and consultations
β¨ Participate in call coverage and weekend rounding
β¨ Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams
β¨ Deliver high-quality preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
β¨ Utilize advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based practices
π©Ί Types of Cases
The surgeon will manage a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including:
β Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
β Aortic and Mitral Valve Replacement/Repairs
β Ascending Aortic Root Procedures
β Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
β Lung and Lobectomy Procedures
β Mediastinoscopy
πΉ Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
π Qualifications
π Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
π Active State Medical License preferred
π« Strong experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery procedures
π» Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Minimum 2 weeks per month availability
