Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon
-
Must be fellowship trained in cardiac surgery or cardiac and thoracic surgery
-
Bypass surgery experience required
-
Client is seeking 1–2 backup surgeons for an established CT surgery program
-
Coverage need is approximately one long weekend or one week per month

Schedule & Responsibilities
-
24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (open to 12-hour shifts 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
-
Morning rounds with a PA
-
Remaining time available for urgent procedures
-
Surgeons are contacted only for urgent or emergent issues
-
Onsite presence not required after rounds, but must remain within a 30-minute response time
Clinical Support
-
Full APP/mid-level coverage
-
APPs work 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM shifts
-
Endovascular saphenous vein harvesting (EVH) performed by PAs
-
PAs take consults and coordinate with the surgeon by phone when needed

Annual surgical volume: approximately 133 cases

Typical procedures include:

Open heart surgery

Carotid procedures

Possible lung cases
