A busy Level II Trauma Center in Minnesota is actively seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for priority locum coverage dates, with additional ongoing needs.
⚡ Emergency temporary privileges available for clean files
⚠️ Must submit a complete credentialing packet
📍 Active MN license or IMLC required

January 1 start ideal (Credentialing Committee: January 5, 2026).
🕒 Schedule

M–F 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

1:3 Call Rotation
-
Daytime coverage
-
Overnight call (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

24-hour weekend call
-
🫀 Strong Cardiac Case Volume
-
~250 CABG / Valve cases annually
-
~200 TAVR
-
~100 Mitral Clips
-
~35 Lead Extractions
-
Predominantly routine cardiac cases
No electrophysiology cases
Oncology lung cases referred to another facility
🔬 Surgical Scope Includes

Aortic aneurysms & dissections
-
CABG & valve repair/replacement
-
Atrial fibrillation surgery
-
Carotid endarterectomy
-
Congenital heart surgery
-
LVAD & heart failure surgery

Minimally invasive & robotic cardiac surgery

Thoracoscopic surgery

TAVR / Structural heart
Ideal candidate is proficient in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures (flexible case mix considered).
