Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity – Michigan
Seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide night call and weekend coverage within a Level I trauma, hospital-based practice.
Position Details:

Adult patient population
-
Provide cardiothoracic surgical care including cardiac and general thoracic procedures
-
Coverage includes primarily weekend call (Friday evening through Monday morning) with potential for one additional week of call per month
-
Approximately one surgical case per weekend
-
Dedicated daytime access to two cardiovascular surgery operating rooms
-
EMR: Epic
Required Procedures:
-
Adult cardiac surgery including CABG and valve repair/replacement
-
General thoracic surgery including lung biopsy, lung resection, pneumonectomy, and mediastinal procedures
-
Tube thoracostomy, pericardial window, thoracotomy, and decortication
Requirements:
-
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
-
Clean malpractice and license history preferred
-
NPDB self-query required at presentation
Additional Details:

Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
