We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon or highly experienced First Assist for a surgical-only engagement in Modesto, California. This role is strictly procedural, focused on assisting our CVT surgeons with heart cases in a dedicated hospital environment.

Position Overview

  • Start Date: March 11, 2026
  • Coverage Type: Clinic Only (Surgical First Assist)
  • Location: Modesto, CA
  • Schedule: Monday – Sunday (7 days available)
  • Shift Times: 8-hour shifts

Clinical Scope & Responsibilities

  • Primary Role: Act as the 1st Assist to the CVT surgeon during heart cases.
  • No Call / No Rounding: Once the surgical cases are complete, your shift is over.
  • No Office Time: This position is 100% facility-based in the operating room.
  • EMR: Athena (Practice) and Cerner (Hospital).

Candidate Requirements

  • Certification: Board Certified (BC).
  • Licensure: Active California (CA) Medical License.
  • Skills: Expert-level proficiency in first-assisting for high-volume cardiac surgery programs.
  • Credentialing: 60-day timeline.
