Highlights
- Location: Coon Rapids, MN
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital | Level II Trauma
- Start Date: 3/9/2026 (emergency temps available for clean files)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (flexible)
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
- Pay Range: (call to discuss full structure)
Call Requirements
- 1 in 3 call week rotation
- During call week:
- Day shift
- Overnight call (5 PM – 7 AM)
- Weekend 24-hour call
- Call is required
- MN license or IMLC required (no licensing candidates accepted)
Case Mix (High CT Volume)
Predominantly routine cardiothoracic surgery including:
- CABG / Valves / Routine CT
- Aortic aneurysms
- Aortic dissections
- Minimally invasive & robotic heart surgery
- Thoracoscopic surgery
- TAVR / Structural Heart
- LVAD
- Pacemaker
- TEE / Cardioversion
- Congenital heart surgery
- Esophageal (minimally invasive)
- Carotid endarterectomy
Approximate Annual Volumes:
- 250 CABG/Valves
- 200 TAVRs
- 100 Clips
- 35 Lead extractions
Not included:
- Oncology lung cases (sent to another facility)
- No EP cases
Ideal candidates are proficient in Cardiothoracic + Vascular procedures; flexibility offered.
Additional Details
- Level II Trauma
- Clean-file emergency temps available (committee meets Jan 5, 2026)
- Requires MN license or IMLC (no exceptions)
- 2 openings
