Saint Francis Hospital has been an anchor institution in north central Connecticut since 1897. In 2015, Saint Francis became part of Trinity Health Of New England, an integrated health care delivery system that is a member of Trinity Health, Livonia, MI, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation. Saint Francis Hospital is licensed for 617 beds and 65 bassinets, is a major teaching hospital and the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
- Dates of Coverage: Feb/March for 3–6-month assignment, with potential extension into 2026 and perm hire.
- Reason for Coverage: LOA and departure
- Practice Setting: Hospital Based-all inpt-OR//ICU/Rounding of patients in ER and floors
- Schedule (Shifts and Hours): M-F 6:45AM-5PM
- Call Schedule: nights and weekends- TBD- aprox 7-8 calls per month
- Call Ratio: 3 providers taking call
- Average Number of Cases Per Day: 2 cases per day
- Trauma Level/Designation: Level One
- Annual ER Volume: 85,000 per year
- Number of Operating Rooms: 3
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- Description of Ancillary Staff: Full complement
- Adult and Geriatric
- Certification Requirement: BLS and ACLS
Job Responsibilities
Descending Aortic Aneurysms, CABG, Off-Pump CABG, Arterial Revascularization -Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery, Redo Coronary Revascularization, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracic aortic aneurysms, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, CoreValve® System, Mitral Valve Repair
Qualifications
Board Certified- [REQUIRED]
BLS and ACLS- [REQUIRED]
Working Hours
Hospital Based all inpt-OR//ICU/Rounding of patients in ER and floors M-F 6:45AM-5PM + call
