We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a hospital-based, inpatient-only practice at a Level I Trauma Center in Hartford, Connecticut. This role offers a balanced surgical volume, strong ancillary support, and competitive compensation with long-term potential.

Job Responsibilities
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: Nights & weekends
Call Frequency: Approximately 7–8 calls per month
Call Ratio: 3 providers sharing call
Average Volume: ~2 cases per day
Required Procedures
Descending & thoracic aortic aneurysm repair
CABG & Off-Pump CABG
Arterial revascularization (IMA, radial, gastroepiploic)
Redo coronary revascularization
Heart valve repair & replacement
Mitral valve repair
CoreValve® System
Tube thoracostomy
Pericardial window
Qualifications
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required
Active Connecticut Medical License – Required
BLS & ACLS – Required
Working Hours
Daily Rate: $3,000/day
24-Hour Call: $3,200 (includes 4 hours gratis)
Night Call: $700
Call-Back: $500/hour
