Overview
Locum opportunity for a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon to provide inpatient hospital coverage during the Christmas holiday weekend, with additional coverage opportunities available throughout 2026.
Practice Highlights
• Inpatient hospital rounding with surgery as required
• Coverage includes complex cardiovascular surgical cases
• Use of EPIC EMR
• Additional future locum dates available in 2026
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Surgery – REQUIRED
• Fellowship trained in Cardiovascular Surgery – REQUIRED
• Active South Carolina license in hand (no exceptions)
• Active ACLS – REQUIRED
• NPDB self-query required at presentation
• Clean background required
• Must be available for December coverage
Schedule & Coverage
• Dates: December 25–28 (Christmas Day & weekend)
• Schedule: 24-hour coverage
• Call schedule: TBD
Procedures Required:
• Aneurysm Repair
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Heart Valve Replacement
