Job description Locums – CVT Surgeon – Idaho Falls, Idaho

Coverage Dates: December 18 – December 21, 2025 Shift: 7:00am – 7:00am (24-hour shifts) Coverage Type: Full coverage for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases

Position Overview: This CVT Surgeon locums role requires competency in open heart surgery, including CABG and aortic dissections, and 24/7 rounding on all inpatients. Provider will cover any adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases.

Support Staff:

  • First assistant (NP/PA)

  • 2 surgical techs

  • 1 RN circulator

  • Anesthesiologist

  • ICU nursing staff

  • Step-down nursing staff (4th floor)

EMR: Meditech

Requirements:

  • American Board of Thoracic Surgery Certification – Required

  • Provider must be available for daily rounding and 24/7 CVT call coverage
