Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Minnesota - Full-Time with Call Rotation

Aya Locums is seeking a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon to provide locum services at a Minnesota hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a cardiothoracic surgeon looking for a comprehensive practice with diverse case types. Coverage is needed starting January 12, 2026, and ongoing.

Job Details:

• Case Types: CABGs, Valve Repairs/Replacements, TAVR Standbys, Clips, Lead Extractions, Aortic Aneurysms, Aortic Dissections, Atrial Fibrillation Surgery, Carotid Endarterectomy, Congenital Heart Surgery, Esophageal Surgery (minimally invasive), Heart Failure Surgery, Heart Transplant Surgery, LVAD Surgery, Lung Surgery, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Heart Surgery, Thoracoscopic Surgery
• Setting: Hospital Float Pool
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm with 1 in 3 call week rotation
• Call Rotation: Call weeks include day shift, overnight (5pm-7am), and 24-hour weekend call
• Annual Volume: 250 CABGs/Valves, 200 TAVR Standbys, 100 Clips, 35 Lead Extractions
• Case Mix: Predominantly routine cases (CABGs, Valves)
• Credentialing: Committee meeting January 5, 2026

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Minnesota Medical License or IMLC (required)
• Experience with full range of cardiothoracic procedures
• Comfortable with call rotation
• Ability to handle complex and emergent cases
