Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity – Detroit, Michigan

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well-established group of cardiologists serving patients across our health system in Metro Detroit. This is a full-time, employed opportunity, offering a stable and rewarding career path within a large, award-winning medical center system that includes Level I and II Trauma Centers, tertiary care referral centers, and community hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgical services within a multi-hospital system.
Maintain a Monday–Friday schedule, with 1–2 days per week dedicated to outpatient clinic.
Perform surgeries and provide operative coverage based on case load and ER consults.
Participate in weekend and holiday call rotations shared with two other cardiothoracic surgeons, including Level I Trauma thoracic coverage.
Conduct inpatient rounding, including coverage of intensive care units.
Collaborate closely with two cardiothoracic surgical physician assistants who provide support for rounding and call coverage.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain
