ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for a facility in Upstate South Carolina. The role includes hospital rounding and performing cardiovascular surgeries as needed, with support from an established surgical team in a hospital setting.

Setting: Inpatient hospital rounding and surgical coverage as required

Job Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
Hospital-based with a focus on surgical and critical cardiac care
Primary Procedures Required:

Aneurysm Repair
-
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

Heart Valve Replacement
Preferred Specialty:
Cardiothoracic surgery background strongly preferred
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certification: Cardiovascular Surgery [Required]

Fellowship: Completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Surgery [Required]

Licensure: Active South Carolina medical license [Required – no exceptions]

Certifications: ACLS [Required]

NPDB Self-Query: Must be submitted at the time of presentation [Required]

Background: Clean malpractice and disciplinary history [Required for temp privileges]
