Locums – Redding, California, Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!
    • Coverage Dates:
    • Weekends starting 4pm Fridays until 7am on Mondays. MUST be available afternoon the day before first shift for EHR training/orientation (~3-4 hrs)
    • June 28 weekend
    • October 11 & 25 weekends
    • November 8 & 22 weekends
    • Dec 13 weekend
    • Setting - Inpatient, with outpatient post-op clinic
    • Required procedures: Thoracentesis, Chest Tubes & below:
      • THORACIC - Lungs, pleura, chest wall mediastinum
      • THORACIC - Thoracoscopy
      • CARDIAC - Repair of congenital anomalies - Open
      • CARDIAC - Valve repair or replacement by open technique
      • CARDIAC - Repair of ventricular aneurysm
      • CARDIAC - Myocardial revascularization
      • CARDIAC - Repair of thoracic aortic injury or aneurysm
      • CARDIAC - Pulmonary embolectomy
      • CARDIAC - Interpretation of Trans Doppler Studies
      • CARDIAC - Atrial Ablation/Cox-Maze Procedure
      • CARDIAC - Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (Epicardial)
    • Duties - on-call and weekday post-operative clinic coverage, in-hospital cardiac and thoracic cases, no vascular
    • EMR - Cerner Care B
    • Support Staff- NP/PA dedicated to CT surgery service
    • Types of cases: cardiac and thoracic cases, no vascular
    • Board Certified Required
    • State License – Required
    • Residency Requirements/Fellowship – Required Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship relevant to assignment specialty.
    • DEA Required
    • CA Fluoroscopy - Required as the CVT Surgeons use Fluoroscopy (the C-arm) for certain procedures
