Cardiac Surgeon Opportunity

The comprehensive heart surgery program at Bon Secours is seeking a talented Cardiac Surgeon to join their team at St. Mary's and Memorial Regional Hospital. Our Cardiac Surgeons provide our patients with the most advanced surgical options including the latest in cardiac technology, minimally invasive techniques and robotic assisted surgeries.

Our team consists of 3 MD's, 4 APC’s assigned to general rounds and office; 2 APC’S for structural heart program; 4 Surgical PA’s with strong support from our Heart Care Navigator and skilled staff that are specially trained in the treatment of cardiac patients. Successful candidate will work with a team of subspecialty physicians to provide preventive cardiac and vascular care, cardiac rehabilitation, outpatient follow-up including nutrition services and pain management, as well as non-invasive testing and procedures.

The Heart Surgery program is a busy and established practice currently performing 750-800 cases per year. We have a Structural Heart and Advanced Heart Failure team which averages 18-20 LVAD implants a year while following 51 current LVAD patients. The team is active in clinical research.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon
• TAVR experience or fellowship trained
• preferred LVAD training and experience
