General Surgery/Bariatrics Opportunity in Iowa, 1 hour from Des Moines!
Seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon with experience in bariatrics who can handle the broad spectrum of surgery that comes through the ER!
Responsibilities:
Competitive compensation plus a production bonus potential
1:3 call: limited call-back activation
Hospitalist program is fully utilized
Highly efficient and fully equipped OR and clinical support team
Level 4 Trauma Emergency Department
CT, MRI & Fluoroscopy within the hospital
Nationally accredited center of excellence
Have been performing open/laparoscopic bariatric surgery for over 20yrs
Have been performing robotic (daVinic Xi) bariatric surgery for nearly 10yrs
Patients drive from nearly 3hrs away for our program
In addition to general surgery, each surgeon has averaged between 50-120 bariatric surgeries per year for the past decade
We routinely train surgical residents from the academic medical center for our bariatric and robotic program
