An established healthcare system in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a Board-Certified Rheumatologist for a locum assignment providing outpatient rheumatology clinic coverage.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative specialty practice alongside experienced rheumatologists and orthopedic specialists while managing patients with a variety of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat complex rheumatologic diseases while providing comprehensive care through an established outpatient clinic setting supported by modern clinical systems and collaborative specialty teams.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct patient consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations
• Develop individualized treatment and disease management plans
• Manage chronic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, vasculitis, and connective tissue disorders
• Coordinate care with orthopedic specialists and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Rheumatology
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• Experience providing outpatient rheumatology care
• Strong clinical diagnostic and treatment planning skills
• Flu vaccination required
Working Hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Clinic Hours: Between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Coverage:
• Rotating evening call coverage
• Approximately 1 in 3 weekend call rotation
