Seeking a Locum Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric rheumatology care in an outpatient clinic setting with hospital-based call. The role includes clinic coverage (4×10s or 5×8s) plus shared 24-hour inpatient call. Support staff includes MA, RN, and front-desk team. Coverage needed due to a current vacancy.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
• Provide outpatient clinic care
• Participate in shared 24-hour inpatient call (1:2 ratio)
• Document care using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Fellowship trained in Rheumatology
• Active Michigan medical license
• BLS certification
• Ability to perform joint aspirations and injections
• NPDB self-query (within 30 days at presentation)
Working Hours
• Call: 24-hour hospital call, 2 weeks per month (1:2)
• Start: ASAP (realistic start closer to April due to credentialing)
• Duration: Ongoing
