Position Overview
LanceSoft Inc. is seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist for a high-priority ongoing locum assignment in Jackson, MI. The role includes outpatient clinic coverage combined with 24-hour hospital call, serving adult and geriatric patients with strong clinical and administrative support.
Job Responsibilities
Setting: Office-based Rheumatology Clinic with Hospital Call
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
Clinic Volume: 16–18 patients/day
Hospital Volume: ~1 consult/day
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level: Level II
Support Staff: Medical Assistants, RNs, Front Desk staff
Qualifications
Board-Certified in Rheumatology (REQUIRED)
Fellowship-Trained in Rheumatology (REQUIRED)
Active Michigan Medical License (REQUIRED)
BLS Certification
Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures
NPDB self-query (within 30 days at time of submission)
Epic EMR experience – Preferred
Working Hours
Schedule Options:
4 × 10-hour clinic shifts OR
5 × 8-hour clinic shifts
Call Requirement:
24-hour hospital call
2 weeks per month
1:2 call rotation (Tuesday–Monday)
Weekend Coverage: Yes
Reason for Coverage: Vacancy
Credentialing: ~90–120 days
Travel & Lodging: Preference for local providers; travel, lodging, rental car, and mileage may be considered
Skills
Hospital-based rheumatology consults while on call
Adult and geriatric care
Joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
Care coordination with hospital and clinic teams
Accurate documentation in Epic EMR
