A great locum opportunity for a Board-Certified Rheumatologist to provide outpatient clinic coverage with hospital-based call at a well-supported medical center. This role focuses on adult and geriatric care with a manageable patient load, strong clinical support, and a flexible clinic schedule.
A great locum opportunity for a Board-Certified Rheumatologist to provide outpatient clinic coverage with hospital-based call at a well-supported medical center. This role focuses on adult and geriatric care with a manageable patient load, strong clinical support, and a flexible clinic schedule.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide outpatient rheumatology clinic care
• Perform joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
• Participate in hospital-based rheumatology consults
• Take 24-hour hospital call two weeks per month (1:2 ratio)
• Collaborate with MA, RN, and front-desk staff
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Rheumatology
• Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology
• Active Michigan medical license
• BLS certification
• Experience with joint injections and aspirations
• Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred)
Working Hours
• Clinic schedule: 4×10-hour shifts or 5×8-hour shifts
• 24-hour hospital call: 2 weeks per month
• Start date: ASAP (credentialing may extend start)
Skills
• Strong outpatient rheumatology expertise
• Adult and geriatric patient care
• Procedural skills (joint injections/aspirations)
• Effective teamwork and EMR documentation
