We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric care in a supportive outpatient and hospital-based setting. This locum opportunity includes clinic coverage and 24-hour hospital call, ideal for providers looking for hands-on procedural experience in joint aspirations and injections.
🏥 Practice Setting & Support

Outpatient clinic with hospital-based call

Support staff: MA, RN, front desk

EMR: Epic

Level II Trauma Center
⏰ Schedule

Clinic: 4×10-hour shifts or 5×8-hour shifts
-
Hospital Call: 24-hour coverage, 2 weeks per month (1:2 ratio)

Coverage Duration: ASAP – Ongoing

Average patient load:
-
Clinic: 16–18 patients/day

Hospital: ~1 patient/day

🔬 Required Procedures

Joint aspirations

Corticosteroid injections

Clinic and hospital-based rheumatology care
✅ Candidate Requirements

Board Certified in Rheumatology

Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

Active Michigan medical license
-
BLS certification
-
Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures

Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation
