🩺 Locum Rheumatologist | Jackson, Michigan 🩺 Adult & Geriatric Care | Clinic & Hospital-Based Call | Start: ASAP

We are seeking a Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist to provide adult and geriatric care in a supportive outpatient and hospital-based setting. This locum opportunity includes clinic coverage and 24-hour hospital call, ideal for providers looking for hands-on procedural experience in joint aspirations and injections.

🏥 Practice Setting & Support

• Outpatient clinic with hospital-based call

• Support staff: MA, RN, front desk

• EMR: Epic

• Level II Trauma Center

⏰ Schedule

• Clinic: 4×10-hour shifts or 5×8-hour shifts

• Hospital Call: 24-hour coverage, 2 weeks per month (1:2 ratio)

• Coverage Duration: ASAP – Ongoing

• Average patient load:

  • Clinic: 16–18 patients/day

  • Hospital: ~1 patient/day

🔬 Required Procedures

• Joint aspirations

• Corticosteroid injections

• Clinic and hospital-based rheumatology care

✅ Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Rheumatology

• Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

• Active Michigan medical license

• BLS certification

• Ability to perform clinic and hospital-based rheumatology procedures

• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation
