Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Rheumatologist physician to join our faculty. This full-time position offers a dynamic mix of clinical care, teaching, and research in a collaborative academic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient care in rheumatology.
- Participate in consult services and provide care to patients with and without fellows-in training.
- Supervise and mentor fellows-in-training in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Provide educational activities- including giving periodic Medical Grand Rounds lectures to faculty, fellows, residents, and students.
- Participate in quarterly evaluations of fellows-in-training.
- Participate in quality initiatives and improvement projects.
- Participate with fellows in research opportunities or self-directed research.
- Comply promptly with billing, documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements.
- Engage in service responsibilities, including monthly attendance at faculty meetings and participating in University, School of Medicine, Departmental, or Section committee work.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Louisiana medical license or the ability to obtain a Louisiana medical license
- Board certified in Internal Medicine
- Board certified or board eligible in Adult Rheumatology
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research
