We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist (MD/DO) to join our client’s team providing exceptional care across multiple clinic locations in the East Bay Area of San Francisco. This is a 1099 locum opportunity offering flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the chance to work within a supportive, academically affiliated healthcare environment.
Position Overview
Client: Rheumatology Practice – East Bay Area
Locations: Martinez, Pittsburg, and West County
Job Role: Rheumatology Physician – Outpatient & Inpatient Coverage
Availability: Full-time preferred, but open to 1–2 days per week
Shift: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
Contract Length: Open to long-term locum commitment
Start Date: As soon as credentialed – flexible onboarding
Compensation: $275/hour (All-Inclusive 1099 Rate)
Travel/Lodging: Available if needed
Responsibilities

Provide outpatient clinical care for patients with rheumatologic conditions, both in person and via telemedicine.

Perform inpatient consultations as needed.

Collaborate with a dedicated management and clinical support team.

Participate in resident teaching and training through a nationally recognized Family Medicine Residency Program.

Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and record-keeping.
Requirements & Qualifications

Active California State Medical License
-
MD or DO degree
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology

Prior outpatient and/or inpatient rheumatology experience preferred
