Job description
Seeking an experienced Rheumatologist to provide locum clinic coverage at a busy outpatient practice in Georgia. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and requires coverage for at least 2.5 to 3 days per week. The locum will see an average of 18-20 adult and geriatric patients per day, managing a broad spectrum of rheumatologic conditions.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat conditions such as arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, osteoporosis, inflammatory lung and eye diseases, and other autoimmune disorders.
Manage patient follow-ups and coordinate care as needed.
Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR system.
Collaborate with the practice’s solo MD and staff for seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Active Georgia medical license or eligible for IMLC participation.
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (no new graduates).
Current BLS certification.
DEA license required.
Working Hours
Coverage needed for at least 2.5 to 3 days per week.
No APP support; physician-only coverage
Skills
Proficiency in EPIC EMR system.
Excellent communication and patient management skills.
Ability to work independently in a clinic setting.
