Job Description:
The selected candidate will be an MD or MD plus PhD with specialty training and expertise in adult rheumatology.
Priority will be given to persons who have experience with providing rheumatology clinical services in a university and community setting.
Participation in Quality Improvement is required.
Our division is a busy and collegial program that provides specialty Rheumatologic clinical services, including point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound, to a large population in Vermont and upstate New York.
We have a successful adult rheumatology fellowship program and are involved in teaching rheumatology to all healthcare providers in the community.
We also have a robust research program that includes clinical and translational research related to immunology, inflammatory arthritis, and vasculitis.
About the Hospital/Community:
Hospital has 9 state-of-the-art operating rooms and an ambulatory surgery center with 4 operating rooms. Cases include a broad spectrum of procedures with an approximate annual volume 19,000. Call is 1:3/4. Practice in a warm and friendly environment that sits on a plush 45-acre campus complete with ponds and walking paths. The position offers excellent compensation, benefits and relocation! J1s and H1Bs considered.
Plattsburgh offers a family-oriented community on Lake Champlain, near the Adirondack Mountains, the Olympic-Lake Placid region, Burlington, VT and Montreal. Estimated pay range/amount is $300,000-$315,000.
