JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Rheumatology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Saranac Lake, NY
• Service Setting: Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 07/01/2025 – 10/24/2025 (16 weeks)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Case Mix: General rheumatology, including osteoporosis care with biologics
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: eClinicalWorks
• Support Staff Available: Medical Office Assistant, LPN, and two front desk staff
• Reason for Coverage: Short-term rheumatology coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: TBD
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Osteoporosis treatment with biologics
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active New York medical license required
• Certifications:
- Board Certified by ABIM in Rheumatology (through ABMS or AOA OCC)
- Board Eligible considered, but not preferred
• Experience: Must be comfortable treating osteoporosis with biologics
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient rheumatology care during assigned weekday shifts
• Evaluate and manage patients with rheumatologic conditions
• Administer or manage biologic therapies, including for osteoporosis
• Complete documentation in eClinicalWorks EMR
• Work collaboratively with the medical office assistant, LPN, and front desk staff
