**Rheumatology opportunity in North Platte, NE** -Located 225 miles from Lincoln, NE; 260 miles from Denver, CO. -Full-time, permanent position. Medical center is seeking a BE/BC Rheumatologist to join its team in North Platte, Nebraska. **About the job** Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases and systemic autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, tendinitis, and osteoporosis, with focus on diseases in the joints, muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons. Obtain patient medical histories and perform medical diagnostic tests, including radiographs, MRIs, and ultrasound. Interpret lab and other advanced tests results. Study symptoms and evaluate effects on immune system, assess joint-related conditions, and treat soft tissue problems related to musculoskeletal system. Aspirate and inject affected joints. Create customized treatment plans and provide recommendations for treatments, therapy, and medications for treatment and pain mitigation. Advise on further examinations, as appropriate. Explain conditions and treatment plans to patients and family. Consult with physicians needing rheumatology specialist to diagnose or treat patients. General supervision of hospital staff. Full-time, minimum of 40 hours per week with practice-based only on-call coverage, as needed. **Minimum Requirements:** Medical Doctorate or ECFMG equivalent. Completion of medical residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Rheumatology. Board certification in Internal Medicine, Board eligible in Rheumatology, and current Nebraska medical license. **About Medical Center:** Nonprofit, fully accredited, 116-bed regional referral center serving west Nebraska, northern Kansas and northern Colorado.
