**Rheumatology Physician Opportunity in Lebanon, PA**
**Practice Overview:**
An independent, multi-specialty practice with over 100 employees, including 10 MDs, 4 APPs, 3 NPs, Physical Therapists, and administrative staff. Specialties include Internal Medicine Primary Care, Rheumatology and Osteoporosis, Nephrology, and Endocrinology.
**About the Practice:**
- Hospital coverage: Local community-2 miles from the practice location-WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, a 170-bed acute care facility.
- Office in Lebanon, PA, 2.5 miles away from Good Samaritan Hospital. The group moved into the new space in April 2000.

**Practice Overview:**
The Rheumatology provider will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a full-scope rheumatology practice. The practice includes outpatient responsibilities and inpatient consultation when appropriate.
**Schedule:**
- Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, with physicians having a 4.5-day week.
- Flexible start times for physicians.
- Hershey coverage will be split with Lebanon site.
**Volume:**
- Clinic: Averages 15-22 patients per day
**Referrals:**
- In-house internists, referrals from Good Samaritan.
**Call Schedule:**
- 1:4 weeknights and 1:4 weekend call shared with the partners. Minimal/benign telephonic guidance.
**Payor Mix:**
- 60% Government Subsidy (Medicare)/40% Private Insurance
**Candidate Parameters:**

- BC Internal Medicine, BC/BE Rheumatology

**Compensation:**
- Base Compensation: $220K annual salary before partnership can negotiate around 10-15K.
- 1st year: higher of the base pay or 65% as if they were a partner.
- 2nd year: higher of the base pay or 85% if they were a partner.
- Productivity Bonus upon Partnership: Base drops to $185,000 with around $40,000-$60,000 annual productivity bonus
**Overhead:**
- Overhead is determined by productivity average 48% to 50%.
**Collections:**
- 60-65% of billables within 90 days, average collection rate at 20 days. Practice target is $63,000/day.
**Benefits:**
- 2-year track, with partnership offered at the beginning of Year 3. Opportunity for building buy-in at Year 5, around $60,000-$75,000 (depending on Accounts Receivable status).
- Relocation offered. Sign-on bonus of $30K from Wellspan Hospital, requiring a 5-year commitment or percentage payback. Relocation: $3,000.
- Occurrence-based.
- Provided 401K with market match, average 8-12%.
- 14 days PTO, 8.5 paid holidays (increases to 18 days at partnership).
- 2 weeks per year plus $3,000.
