Job Description & Requirements
Radiation Oncologist in Florida
StartDate: ASAP

As a result of continued growth and the focus on providing continuity of care for patients and medical oncologists, the Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a qualified radiation oncologist for a position in the Orlando area. The ideal candidate will exude the ability to effectively network and develop new business relationships throughout the local community.

Recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award, FCS offers patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in the state. In the past four years, the majority of new cancer drugs approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation.

Florida Cancer Specialists has built a national reputation for excellence that is reflected in exceptional and compassionate patient care, driven by innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies, and advanced treatments, including targeted therapies, genomic-based treatment, and immunotherapy.

Opportunity Highlights
  • Work 2–3 days per week in a permanent part-time role
  • Receive support from a full-time dosimetrist, director of medical physics, and on-site physicist
  • Strong referral system from in-house medical oncologists
  • Tumor boards and clinical trials available

Located between Gainesville and Orlando, Ocala is an exciting community filled with tremendous diversity and an endless amount of activities and adventures for families and individuals alike. With consistent sunshine and incredible weather year-round, central Florida offers a remarkable quality of life.

Community Highlights
  • Exceptional public and private schools
  • An abundance of outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, and kayaking
