Radiation Oncology Physician in Michigan
StartDate: ASAP

A leading medical school-affiliated, regional freestanding cancer center, seeks a Division Chief of Radiation Oncology with a focus on clinical care. The center has a strong commitment to clinical trials as evidenced by its participation in an NCI funded N-CORP and its membership with the Dana Farber Blood Cancer Research Partnership (BCRP). An academic appointment at the School of Medicine is included along with opportunities for teaching and clinical research. This is an employed position with a competitive salary and benefits package. This cancer center has had significant growth in eight surrounding counties, making this an excellent opportunity for a Radiation Oncologist interested in being a physician leader with strong opportunities for academic development. Your position will include primarily clinical duties along with 3 Radiation Oncologists and 2 mid-level providers. Candidates should have leadership experience.

Practice:
  • Cancer Center founded in 1994 to serve a 9-county area of about 1 million people.
  • Joint collaboration between two hospitals with a vision to deliver exceptional, comprehensive and integrated cancer care to patients.
  • Academic appointment available via affiliation with new Medical School.
  • Center employs more than 240 individuals with clinical environment supported by multidisciplinary team of Physicians, NPs, PAs, Nurses and Data Managers.
  • 55,000 sq ft main campus with all radiation oncology services on-site.
  • 6 affiliate satellite clinics regionally located with medical oncology services only.
  • Development plans for an additional 100,000 sq feet to be added to the main campus.
  • Clinical trials participation – 4 % of patients on clinical and bio-specimen trials last year.
  • Phase I, II, III and IV clinical trials.
  • QOPI Certified Practice, NAPBC Accreditation, Vanguard Practice for ASCO CancerLinQ and a Member of Dana Farber BCRP.
  • 11 Hematologists/Oncologists and 9 mid-level providers for 37 chair/bed infusion center.
  • 3 Radiation Oncologists currently employed, all certified.
  • 2 mid-level providers for radiation oncology.
  • 3 Gynecological Oncologists in the practice plus a Surgical Oncologist on-site.
  • 3 state-of-the-art, mirrored, Varian Linear Accelerators including two TrueBeams, Vision-RT, brachytherapy suite and Siemens CT simulator on-site. Eclipse Treatment planning system and Mim Vista.
