Job description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Radiology in Charleston, West Virginia.
Shift: Saturday–Sunday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM; 8-hour shifts; scheduled coverage, no call; remote only.
Start Date: 10/05/2026
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details: Full-time remote radiology coverage. Provider must be able to read all types of studies, including CT perfusion and MR abdomen. MSK experience is a plus. Typical volume is 90–100 reads per 8-hour shift and 60–70 wRVUs per shift. Case mix includes approximately 10% MSK, 60% ER, and 40% Neuro.
Patient Population: Emergency, neuro, MSK, and general radiology patient population.
Setting: Remote radiology coverage for an acute care hospital.
Responsibilities: Interpret general radiology studies across XR, CT, MR, US, and NM, including high-volume ER and neuro studies, CT perfusion, and MR abdomen.
Required Procedures: Radiology interpretation of XR, CT, MR, US, and Nuclear Medicine studies; CT perfusion and MR abdomen required; MSK reading preferred.
EMR System: Cerner; PACS: Fuji Synapse; Dictation: PowerScribe.
Days Per Month: Minimum 40 hours per month.
On-Call/Weekends: Saturday–Sunday coverage, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM; no call.
Requirements:
- Required: Board Certified Radiologist with current West Virginia license and BLS.
- Required: Clearly identify modalities and studies the provider can actively read and interpret, including CT perfusion, MR abdomen, general radiology, and MSK, with current experience.
- Required: Completed Modality Checklist; include preferred shift, currently licensed locations, locations willing to license for, and anticipated commitment/timeline.
- Required: Provider must maintain approximately 70 wRVUs per shift, work a minimum of 40 hours/month, continuously maintain 3 months of scheduled shifts, and be credentialed at a minimum of two client sites.
